CV
Xinrou Wu, born in Jiangsu in 2002 and currently based in London, is studying Sculpture at the Royal College of Art. Her practice began with recording dreams through painting, and gradually shifted towards themes of intimacy, the body, and structures of power. Reading and writing remain central to her process — memories that were once suppressed or forgotten often return suddenly, becoming the starting point of her works.

Working across painting and sculpture, she sees painting as a direct translation of emotion, while materials such as bronze, wood, and ceramics carry an intentional sense of violence and conflict. Rather than offering fixed answers, her work stays within the tension between revealing and withholding.
